In Gaiden Story Mode A new mode was introduced in Sengoku Basara 2 Heroes. On the heroes, the third costume will be given to the player. The game’s narrative choices are Katakura Kojūrō, Azai Nagamasa, and Oichi. However, unlike in Sengoku Basara 2, the player can only pick from three (newly playable) characters.
Story Mode Much like Sengoku Basara 2’s story mode, players may select a character and follow his or her tale. Sengoku BASARA 2 Heroes (released in Japan as Sengoku Basara 2 Eiyuu Gaiden) is the expansion to Sengoku BASARA 2 for the PlayStation 2 and Wii, published by Capcom on 29 November 2007.
